"I paint myself because I am often alone and I am the subject I know best."

Just purchased tickets to watch this remarkable film playing at the Jewish film festival.
"…the film depicts a nation of everyday heroes, far removed from the narrative of violent Islam and anti-Semitism that’s so often portrayed or mistaken to be all-pervasive."
And as Orhan Frasheri states ‘Albanian besa is worth more than gold’
"All negativity is caused by an accumulation of psychological time and denial of the present. Unease, anxiety, tension, stress, worry—all forms of fear—are caused by too much future, and not enough presence. Guilt, regret, resentment, grievances, sadness, bitterness, and all forms of nonforgiveness are caused by too much past, and not enough presence."
Wow. Very true. (via firdousii)
Anonymous asked: Two women: Both beautiful. Both kind. Both intelligent. Both ambitious. One of them is very financially independent. The other isn't. Who wins the 'game'?
Hi sweetheart. <3
It isn’t a race we win, my friend. It really isn’t. The one who realizes that Love underlies all… that connection, and kindness, and compassion are reaching out to a world of reflections. The one who realizes and experiences uninterrupted Oneness. That person who lives in a state of Love. But that person doesn’t ‘win’… she simply keeps walking Home with the other with a gentle smile on her face, clear eyes, an inspiring lightness, and a playful spring in her step.
Money certainly isn’t the goal. When we stand in the field of unconditional Love and reflect back, the Mercedes doesn’t give us any points. The IQ is only good if used as a gift. The ambition only ultimately helps if tempered with compassion. The money? Where does it come from anyway and how is it used? To see that as the goal is to reach into emptiness and when we are defined by things, we live in a visceral fear of outer loss. Outer beauty? That too is fleeting and can be lost in a moment of trauma or over time. Defining ourselves by that so too is empty and will lead to fear.
Love is the goal of this play of consciousness. It’s the inner state that we live in that then is reflected in the way we see things, live, and offer service to those around us. It’s following our Heart that leads to contentment.
Why do you feel this competition, love? Can’t we see that we are each on our own path walking at our own pace?
Sending you love, from my heart to yours. <3
Namaste, beautiful spirit.
Words so perfect. So grateful to have come across this.
